Welcome!
So glad you are here! My name is Nancy Wolfe and I am an Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC) under the supervision of Laura Kutys. I am also an Independent Educational Consultant. My practice is two-fold. First, I provide counseling to teens and adults who are trying to manage anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, substance-use, divorce, and family and school issues. Second and separately, I help high school students and their parents plan for college (4 yr or 2yr) by guiding them through the preparation for and process of college admissions (see more on my Educational Consulting Services page). My Story
I have spent my life thus far working in education. I was a traditional high school counselor for 17 years and then moved into my current role as a District College Counselor for Huntsville CIty Schools. I decided I want to move into the mental health/counseling world in order to help people with the issues I have seen in my tenure as a high school counselor. People, whether teens or adults, seem to be trying to find more balanace in their lives to combat anxiety, stress and depression that accompanies so many situations in our daily lives: relationships, school, work, life transitions, etc. I want to be a guide in the journey to your more peaceful and authentic self.
The second arm of my practice is educational consulting. Most students do not have access to a dedicated college counselor to help them navigate the college process. I help high school students and their families with the preparation needed for college as well as the college admissions process. This is a natural extension of what I have been doing for the past 10 years.
